I am excited to share that I have curated an exhibition of Freddy Moran quilts at the International Quilt Museum, opening in August until November. Each quilt is a unique portrait, and the sheer volume of such intricate work is astounding. IQM writes that:

Freddy made one face quilt a day for 54 days. When she reached the 54th day, she decided to keep creating face quilts as long as they inspire her. Her quilting philosophy?

"If it's not fun, why are you doing it?"

I loved meeting with her and hearing the narratives behind the faces. It will be an immense exhibition!
